Liverpool John Lennon Airport handled over 4 million passengers in 2015 with flights to over 60 destinations in the UK and across Europe and with onward worldwide connections.
As a busy regional airport handling so many passengers it requires effective communication for general announcements and any potential emergency situations. The airport's fire alarm system is connected to a Bosch PA/VA system which broadcasts evacuation messages through the loudspeaker network in the event of an emergency.
As Bosch approved PAVA specialists, PAS were brought in during 2015 to take over the routine maintenance of the system and carry out a thorough survey and report on its status. As a result of this, a number of remedial and improvement works were proposed to align the system with the latest requirements of the British Standards. Since the beginning of the year, PAS have carried out a number of works in various areas of the buildings on the PAVA and are about to embark on works in several areas designated for refurbishment.
Our service team continues to provide the necessary routine maintenance working in conjunction with the site fire alarm and security contractors, whilst our installation teams will be busy throughout the quieter winter months on system upgrades.
