LEISURE CENTRE - Zoned Public Address
Orford Hub Leisure Centre

This £16.7m new build was a regeneration initiative, and the only Olympic Legacy facility built outside London for the 2012 Olympics. The fantastic facilities and activities within the site provide opportunities for the local community in take part in sport and physical activity, improve their health and provide cultural and education opportunities.

The Hub was officially opened by HRH Queen Elizabeth II on 17th May 2012 and was opened to the public from 18th May 2012.

The main pool has local input sockets available for use in swimming galas etc. for announcements and playback of music, along with the various dance and activity studios around the building. These functions can take place without interrupting other areas of the centres which would operate as normal.

Utilising equipment from reputable international manufacturers, we carried out the installations side by side over a period of months meeting all the deadlines and programme of works.

Built by Galliford Try Construction, the project was managed to the highest standards by our site staff and completed to the satisfaction of both the main contractor and the M&E sub contractor.
